Are PLAB 2 videos enough to pass?

For most candidates, no. Videos teach you what a station should look like, but PLAB 2 marks your own spoken consultation — data gathering, clinical management and interpersonal skills — and none of that can be assessed from something you watched. Use videos to learn the format, then practise out loud.

How many stations should I practise rather than watch?

There is no official number, and anyone quoting one is guessing. A practical rule is that once you can predict what the video is going to do next, you have taken what it has to give — that is the point to start attempting stations yourself.

Can I practise a station straight after watching one?

Yes, and it is a good habit. Watch a station, then run the same type yourself and see how much of it survives contact with a patient who does not follow the script. You get 15 free voice minutes when you register, which is enough for a full station and its feedback.
