Role-player
Also known as: Actor, Simulated patient
A trained actor who plays the patient, relative, or colleague in a PLAB 2 station, responding realistically to how the candidate communicates.
Treating the role-player as a real person — reacting to their cues and emotion — is what generates interpersonal marks.
