IELTS
Also known as: International English Language Testing System
An English-language test accepted by the GMC as evidence of the language skills needed for safe practice; OET is an alternative.
IELTS (academic) and OET are the two routes to meet the GMC English requirement — candidates choose whichever suits them. Confirm current score requirements with the GMC.
