Foundation Year 2 (FY2)
Also known as: FY2, F2
The second foundation year, with more responsibility than FY1, after which doctors enter specialty or GP training.
Understanding where FY2 sits in the hierarchy helps you judge when to manage something yourself and when to escalate to a senior.
