Child protection
The duty to act when a child may be at risk of abuse or neglect, including sharing concerns with safeguarding leads and social services regardless of parental wishes.
In paediatric or safeguarding stations, recognising a concern and escalating it (not managing it alone) while keeping the child’s welfare paramount is the central safe action.
